Rishi Gupta is a registered patent attorney with experience in patent preparation, prosecution, patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, and IP due diligence. He has represented a broad range of clients, from multi-national Fortune 100 companies to individual inventors. Rishi has performed legal work in a broad swath of technologies including cellular communications standards (LTE and LTE-A), computer interconnect standards, semiconductor packaging, semiconductor processing, mechanical systems, oil and gas applications, energy reclamation, power systems, circuits, and nanotechnology.
Rishi’s patenting experience includes drafting and prosecuting hundreds of US, PCT, and foreign patent applications. Rishi also has participated in numerous aspects of patent litigation, including drafting pleadings and Markman briefs, invalidity and noninfringement contentions, and inter partes argumentation. Rishi also has experience with patent portfolio management, including claim chart drafting for targeted prosecution and assertions.
Rishi’s prior work experience is also diverse, having worked as outside counsel at a large patent law firm and as in-house counsel at a multi-national corporation. Prior to beginning his legal career, Rishi worked as a research engineer at a start-up company, investigating various aspects of nanotechnology.
