Kim DeVeau

Manager of Firm Operations

Kim has over thirteen years of experience as a supervisor of global cross-practice client teams, and as a lead paralegal in domestic and international patent prosecution.  She has managed complex IP portfolios for a range of clients including multiple Fortune 500 companies.  Kim has extensive expertise in the development and implementation of unique systems and procedures to provide an exceptional client experience.  

At Alliance IP, Kim leads the management and optimization of the day-to-day operations and patent administrative staff of the firm while providing direct support to the Board of Directors on administrative, procedural, and fiscal matters.

Prior to joining Alliance IP, Kim supervised thirty patent and trademark professionals located across the United States for a national law firm with a robust global IP practice.  She was responsible for client team structuring and continuity, internal and external customer service, case and work allocation, and performance reviews, while also being heavily involved in practice group-wide initiatives on protocols and procedures.  She is also a seasoned patent paralegal with experience in handling US and international patent applications, having managed all aspects of prosecution from application filing through patent renewal fees, and running dedicated client teams at her previous two firms.

Kim graduated from the University of Florida cum laude with a B.A. in English, specializing in Professional Communication and Non-fiction Writing, and member of Florida Blue Key leadership honorary. 


In her free time, Kim enjoys a good escape read, the ocean, and gourmet popcorn.
